In the last four years my style has changed dramatically simply because my life changed dramatically. A very active and adventurous little one became the center of my universe and that meant running around and letting someone hang on my leg or climb on top of me. This wasn't very conducive in a short dress or high heels. So for me personally I have found a style that in this season of my life works best for me and that I still love and enjoy!
It typically looks something like the outfit above, comfy jeans, crew neck top, long dresses or skirts, and tennies, flats, or mules... you get the point. You may think that is very limiting but it's actually not and I still feel so much freedom with my wardrobe. It has caused me to get more creative and I layer a lot or even try out new styles that I might of overlooked before. My main credentials when picking out clothes now are simply this: "can I run, bend down, and be climbed on in this?" If the answer is yes then its a go! Haha!
Now this doesn't mean that I have completely forsaken all short dresses and skirts because that would be sad! I just save them for the right occasion like date night, dinner with friends, or trips without little bean.
I am one that is still leaning to embrace the process of life and watch how with each new season comes change and that change is not always bad and how this happens in every area of our lives...even our style. So I can honestly say that I give "mom style" two thumbs up these days and that is has been fun figuring it out along the way!
Have you seen how your style has changed over the years? What has caused the change? I wanna know :)
