My Favorite Transitional Look
Did someone say sweaters, long sleeves, && cardigans?
It may still be hot outside, but fall style is my absolute favorite and I don’t think I can wait any longer! So how do you start incorporating those sweaters, long sleeves and cardigans without dying in the heat? Easy peasey! Pair them with shorts and skirts. This is by far my favorite transitional look and I plan to wear it out as long as the weather permits!
I found these shorts at H&M not that long ago and they work so well with this look! I went ahead and linked them because they are on MAJOR sale right now!
For this particular outfit I took a pretty simple look, graphic tee, and converse and then jazzed it up with this floral kimono. I love using graphic tees in my layering! They always look nice and keep your outfit from looking to plain.
This look is so easy to change up as well! You can swap around pieces to give it a completely different feel. One swap that I do a lot is the shoes! I am a huge fan of booties and I love the way they look with this in particular. You could wear just about any kind of bootie with this outfit and it would look awesome! I also like to incorporate chunky oversized sweaters into the mix (with booties of course!) It is a great warm fall day outfit and always extra comfortable! You can bet that you’ll start seeing this look from me here in the next week or so!
BUT don’t forget all your skirts as well! Don’t pack them away just yet! You can still get some good wear out of your favorite skirts! You may have seen my post from NYFW where I wore this combo together, if not you can always hop on over to my Instagram and take a peek! I loved this look! I paired together a plaid skirt with a long sleeve white sweater and my oversized jean jacket. It was super comfy and I was still warm with all the rain we had that day in NYC.
There are so many possibilities here and with the fickle east coast weather I know that I have at least a month, possibly two or three before I have to fully switch over to my winter wardrobe. What are some of your favorite fall transitional looks? I would love to know! Let me know down in the comments.
