I am naturally a very organized person, I like everything to have its place so that when I need it I can find it easily. This is something that carries over into pretty much every area of my life, even travel. When I am preparing for a trip I tend to pack my bag in a way that makes it very easy for me to find everything and potentially not even have to unpack... (yes I know that probably sounds like a little much, BUT it works great and is super efficient especially when traveling with a kid.)

As ladies we tend to carry everything but the kitchen sink in our purses, when we travel even more things tend to make their way in them, and then if you are a mom everything that your kid needs is also added in there. This is a lot of stuff to keep organized especially if your purse has only a few compartments.

Back in 2016 we decided to take a family vacation to Budapest & Vienna, Aila was not potty trained yet so I was still carrying around ALLLLL THE THINGS everywhere we went and while I LOVE my diaper bag it wasn't ideal because I still had to wear it on one shoulder and between all my things and Aila's things it stayed pretty full most of the time. So we decided to use this camera bag backpack that we had just purchased for our social media team in DC, and it worked amazingly! It had plenty of space with compartments for chords, a tablet pocket, pockets for SD cards, and dividers (for lenses, and a camera body) that we used to organize everything we needed from diapers, wipes, snacks, extra pair of clothes for Aila, our little travel camera, and even a water bottle. It was also something that Aaron didn't mind wearing so that was nice to be able to pass it off back and fourth over the course of our vacation.

Having a backpack rather than a shoulder bag while traveling proved to be such a great idea because it freed up our hands, it fit easily under the seat on the airplane, and was easy to maneuver with while still having other luggage and little bean. We loved this bag so much so that we ended up getting one for ourselves and we now use it for traveling as well as our go to camera bag! I may not be carrying diapers anymore but as a mom there are still plenty of things that make their way into my purse or bag wherever I go and this way I can keep it all organized and easily accessible, as well as when I travel I never have to dig through all my purse pockets to find anything!

We bought ours on Amazon: Lowepro Photo Traveler 150 Backpack
