I never let a rainy day get me down, especially when I am traveling!! I was born in Atlanta so this city still holds a dear place in my heart, and with its constant growth there is never a shortage of things to see and do.
Around my birthday I decided to take a little weekend trip down to see my best friend and sister, and even thought it rained a good portion of the time it was a good weekend! My BFF lives in downtown Atlanta so we were right in the middle of it all and as you could see from the pictures the view wasn't to shabby. Originally we were going to walk over to the Fox Theater and see the Lion King [which if you have not been to the Fox then it is definitely something to add to your list if ever in Atlanta], but the warmth and coziness of her apartment accompanied by a movie in bed won in the end, haha! Sometimes a girl just needs a lazy night in.
However come Saturday morning we were up and ready for brunch and a day at Ponce City Market! Now Ponce City Market is AHHHMAZING and there is everything you need for an afternoon of leisure from coffee, food, shopping, the belt line, and did I say coffee :) Think of it as Atlanta's version of Chelsea Market. It has a very similar feel with all the brick and industrial vibe going on.
On a sunny day this is a great spot to come and hang out for a while and then go up on the belt line and walk for a bit... however we did not do the belt line this time because of the rain, boooo!
Oh and I don't feel like this post would be complete if I didn't include my coffee shop of choice for you all!! They have multiple locations and one of those locations just so happens to be right beside Ponce, woohoo I know! It's called Dancing Goats and I love it, so you should go check it out.
That's all I have for you today for the city of Atlanta, BUT you can bet I will be visiting again soon and will share even more fun spots with you guys like the Aquarium and the Cocoa Cola Factory!!
